When We Are Closed
On weekdays between the hours of 6.30 pm and 8.0am, and all day and night on weekends and bank holidays, services are commissioned by the West Hertfordshire PCT and provided by Herts Urgent Care. There are no local Walk-In Centres at present.
If you think you need medical treatment out of normal hours, you have a choice:
- To see an emergency doctor, phone 08444773013 option 1. This will transfer you to the Out of Hours doctor when the surgery is closed.
- For health information or advice, phone NHS Direct on 0845 4647.
- Other sources of medical help or advice: NHS Direct Online at http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
